VOLUNTEERING
Throughout your journey with the Surrey Sharks Field Hockey Club, you’ll also grow roots within the club's internal community. We deeply value our connections, and are constantly providing opportunities for returning members, no matter their life variances.
Our volunteers range in age, field hockey experience, skill sets, and more! We have Summer coaches who are previous players that are visiting home from university, members of the Board of Directors that are long retired from the sport, umpires of the 7-A-Side Tournament that haven’t played in years, and much more!
COACHING + UMPIRING
Our emphasis on coaching and umpiring development provides continuous learning opportunities such as:
- formal certification courses
- engagement with and feedback from higher-level coaches & umpires
- opportunities to participate in club, league, tournament, and festival games
Being a non-profit organization, the Surrey Sharks Field Hockey Club highly relies on, values and appreciates our amazing volunteers!
All of the coaches and umpires within the Surrey Sharks Field Hockey Club hold a deep-rooted connection with the club.
