The Surrey Sharks offer an in-house league for boys and girls ranging in age from U6 to U10 called our Minis Program.
The Minis Program introduces young players to the game of field hockey in a fun and interactive format. The focus at this level is on fun, basic skills, and safety.
The season runs from the beginning of April until mid-June.
Equipment Needed:
- runners or turf boots (no soccer cleats allowed)
- soccer shin pads
- junior mouth guard
- junior field hockey stick
We are also happy to announce our new PARENT AND TOT FIELD HOCKEY PROGRAM!
Meant for children aged 3-5, our Parent and Tot Summer Program takes place on Wednesdays at 6:15pm-7:00pm at Tamanawis Park and allows parents and guardians to support their young children with beginning their field hockey journey! Below are the practice dates:
July 31, August 7, August 14, August 21, and August 28
Club registration for summer sessions is $35 total.
The Parent and Tot Program introduces young players to the game of field hockey in a fun and interactive format. The focus at this level is on fun and coordination building. Parent or Guardian participation is required.

- soccer shin pads (recommended but not mandatory)
- junior mouth guard (recommended but not mandatory)
- junior field hockey stick (loaned to every child)
In order for your child to play, they will have to purchase an FHBC Membership for $25.00 in addition to the club registration fee (unless already purchased in spring 2024). More information on how to register and purchase an FHBC Membership can be found here: https://www.
